Real

I wasn't sure what to write about. There are so many thoughts that fill my head and there are so many things one could talk about. So I chose the one that has burned in me more than usual lately: Being true. Our whole world we grow up in is so full of fakeness. We learn to lie at such a little age. So when we grow up we don't know how to be real anymore. But what is true, what is fake and how do I tell the difference? What is authentic, and what is a con? Most of all, what does it mean to be "real" with God, and people?
I've heard about counterfeit money. In retail, you learn how to keep an eye out for fake twenty dollar bills, etc. One time I heard how the experts learn the original bill front-and-back, until they know every inch. They are so familiar with the authentic that they can instantly spot a counterfeit. I'm finding out I can do this with God. If I take the time, I can get to know Him as much as I want. Then I will be able to recognize any voice that isn't Him. Any thoughts about this? -Bethany

Going in circles.

The thought of the day is: Life cycles.

We all have life cycles. Routines that we get caught up in and that are difficult to get break. For instance take a drug addict. One of the reasons an addict is called an addict is because they try to quit their addiction, but generally go right back to it after a period of time and levels of stress in their life. Depending on the drug and the discipline of the person, they will do this two or three times before ridding their life of their demon. Cutting everything out of their life that previously led them back to it.
Also, we get caught up in these cycles because of how we where raised or trauma we experienced when we was younger. A young child raised around racism will most likely grow up to be a racist, same with someone who grew up around drugs is more likely to be an addict. But, I have found that the most character changing experiences have been linked to some sexual abuse.
I was very close to a young woman who was sexually abused as a child, and do to that she was very promiscuous. She  wasnt able hold down a meaningful relationship and she would cheat on who she was with no matter how she strongly she felt for him.
I believe that due to the sexual abuse in her past, she was afraid and unfamiliar with commitment, confused about love, and insecure. Because of this, she developed a sexual addiction to cope with all her unwanted feelings.
After having child, a few change of locations, and failed relationships; she wanted to change for the better of her kid. But, no matter how hard she tryed, she couldn't get out of the routine of constant failure and sexual immorality; which fed deeper into her life cycle and sexual addiction. Feeling as though she wasn't good enough for a gentleman, she settle for being used by men. These where ingredients for an unhealthy relationship. Which eventually she used to have a sense of control of her life because she could predict the outcome of the relationship.
She was my dear friend who's life cycles and demons conquered and destroyed our friendship. To this day I keep her in my prayers and hope the best for her and her child. Can you pinpoint your life cycles and change them for the better?

Education

        Today's thought is about Education.

Education is what makes the world go 'round. Without some sort of education, whether it be in a science, business, social service, ect. you need to have it. You spend over half of your life educating yourself so you can have a better life; climbing the ladders of society, to reach your own view of success. But, what exactly is education? The defintion of education is; the process of recieving or giving systematic instruction esp. at a school or university
During school, most of us find ourselves wondering when in our lives we are going to use half of the things we learn. When are you really going to use trigonometry in our day to day life? Never. Hell, I've never used it. However, maybe there is that kid in your class that is intrigued and does make a career out of it. Or during reading and writing you had to read boring books, you was being taught discipline to push threw it, while also developing your vocabulary.
Someone (I can't remember who) once said that going to school trained the mind to think and ask questions. So next time a question pops in your head, don't ignore it, pursue the answer. So when someone asks u the same question later, you can give them the right answer and help them find their interests in life.

Sententia means "thought" in Latin. I believe that the most powerful ability that humans were given, is the ability of thought. Without the ability to think, we wouldn't be any different then the animals in the wild. This amazing ability has given us Sciences, Religion, Math and so on and so forth. Albert Einstein said, " All Religion, arts, and sciences are branches of the same tree." That "tree" being a single thought.

Suppose the apple fell from the tree and Newton didn't give it a single thought. What would we have lost? Without Newtons theory's of motion, we wouldn't have Einstein's theory of relativity. In this Blog I, and a few others, will write about certain things that we have questioned the day before whether it be Religion or Science or something else, we hope you enjoy it.
